Zuckerberg and the Facebook thought-police

Zuckerberg and the Facebook thought-police

By Guy For Spiked Online

Billionaire, alleged tax-dodger, CEO and all-round PC dullard Mark Zuckerberg has said Facebook is not doing enough to combat hate speech.

At a recent townhall event in Berlin he pledged to work closer with the German authorities, and even offered to fund a section of the German police, in order to help Facebook expand its view of ‘protected groups’ and restrict ‘hate speech against migrants’.

Pardon my German, but what utter scheisse.

What Zuckerberg seems to be missing is that Facebook is supposed to be about enabling the free interaction of people – all this talk of ‘protected groups’ and ‘hate speech’ should be anathema to him. But Zuckerberg subscribes to the typical metropolitan, Silicon-Valley-via-Ivy-League brand of faux-liberalism, which actually has a lot in common with the fascism he claims to despise.

‘Hate speech has no place on Facebook or in our community’, he said. ‘Until recently in Germany I don’t think we were doing a good enough job, and I think we will continue needing to do a better and better job.’

But how exactly is Zuckerberg, or anyone else, going to decide what hate speech is? It’s just as subjective as, say, people’s favourite songs. Just as one person’s ‘Stairway to Heaven’ might be another’s ‘Birdie Song’, so one person’s call for controlled migration is another’s idea of a Nuremberg speech.

Maybe you think we should open the borders, or maybe you think we should turn the boats back. The point is, both opinions (and all in between) have exactly the same right to be aired on the streets, on campuses and, yes, even on Facebook.

Believing in free speech means that everyone, whether they are a member of PEGIDA or Unite Against Fascism, should be entitled to express their view. They should also be prepared to be heavily criticised for their opinions. But they should not be silenced because a government, or a tech billionaire, disagrees with them.

In a truly free society there would be no ‘protected groups’ and there would be no bans on ‘hate speech’. Just because you approve of who the iron fist is punching today does not mean you are protected from receiving a ferrous uppercut tomorrow.

So what is Angela Merkle bringing in the unwanted refugees out of the middle east into Germany against the will of the German people and hiding the crimes committed by the refugees including rapes of German women and children?

I know I know she is building her EU Army but with those who are unwilling to even fight for their own nation.

Germany’s population is aging. They need new workers to prop up the state benefits. They’ve long had immigration from Turkey, so they’re familiar with Muslims…they thought. It seems Turks are more urbane than these hicks they’re getting now.

No sir the Germans do not want the mass immigration out of the middle east into Germany and in fact the Germans do not even want their Turks as has been evidenced in Frankfurt Germany since 1988. You know Frankfurt where Turks set themselves on fire in protest to their mistreatment by Germans.

Japan is suffering with the fewest births ever and not only an aging population but a declining population and no one in Japan is importing middle eats refugees.

Best take your BIG LIES to those who are not as knowledgeable.

Exacto. The decline and abolishment of the natural family, has to be replaced by something…importing foreigners who do not share the same culture and values.

Sex for recreation is not the same as sex for procreation. Healthy societies thrive. Dying societies abandon the natural family.

“Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan hasn’t exactly helped the
cause of integration with his recent rhetoric. Speaking to a cheering crowd of close to 20,000 Turks, some of them already naturalized German citizens, at the Cologne Arena two weeks before the February conference, Erdogan warned his fellow Turks against going too far in their efforts to integrate. “No one can expect you to subject yourselves to assimilation,” he said. “Because assimilation is a crime against humanity.”…

When it began recruiting “guest workers” in the early 1960s, Germany expected them to remain in the country for a limited period of time and then return home. Back in Turkey, the “gurbetci,” as overseas Turks willing to return home are called in Turkish, became accustomed to a system in which other Turks were expected to go to Germany in their place…

More and more Germans equate Islam with fundamentalism, a tendency toward violence and oppression of women…”

The best distinction between fascism and socialism I ever heard was this:

Socialism means the gov’t owns it and tells you what to do with it. Facism means you own it and the gov’t tells you what to do with it.

Fascism is, strictly put in Italian parlance, the glorification of the State over that of the individual. People labor for the glory of the State. Are they doing that in Canada? Norway? Sweden? France? Not really.

While Hitler claimed to be “socialist” (the Nazis were never socialist nor national, at least in the beginning), what he did was bust independent unions and put in place one workers union, then forced lower wages on everyone, and raised taxes. In return, people got subsidized vacations, which were cancelled as soon as war broke out.

Anyone who wants to claim Nazis were “socialist” really needs to read Rise and Fall of the Third Reich, particularly the “rise” parts.

Nazism, Communism…call it what you want. The one thing they share is fascism. And while communism did/does come close to socialism, socialism does not necessitate the collectivization of farms and land. It does not obviate private property. As far as farms go, we are collectivizing them – they’re called “factory farms”.

Rather than lumping a political system as either “this” or “that, it’s more like a spectrum where systems can borrow or share aspects of another, and that can change over time, as our Social Security and Medicare share aspect of socialism.

NSDAP was certainly socialist. They nationalized much of the economy, ran huge make-work programs with a very extensive welfare state for the time. The Leader explained that they didn’t need to socialize the whole economy, they socialized Human Beings (through fear and intimidation). Those Euro weenies are MIXED economies – not close to real socialism. To the extent that they become more socialist they become more repressive. Just try to criticize islam – even with direct quotes from the koran and you’ll see how much freedom they have.

Personally I feel there should be no protected groups, but there should be a ban on hate speech that spouts racism. The very point of having made protected groups have been because of racism, etc. If we make hate speech illegal (as in racist speech), then I think all laws concerning “protected classes” should be thrown out because said behavior that caused such laws to be made has been made illegal.

Nonsense – Zuckerpuck is simply cooperating with government. Its called fascism. He is in some way being influenced by government and others to bring this policy to bear on facebook.

Mussolini said, ““Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power.”

“The definition of fascism is The marriage of corporation and state ”

Zuckerpuck becomes a made man with government if he starts to bend to Uncle Fraud’s agendas and one of those is to promote unlimited immigration.

I would respectfully disagree. The Donald is fine with free speech, but he’s also very capable and not afraid of responding to free speech he doesn’t like. If you look at what he says, he may attack what someone says about him or something he espouses, he may insult the person that said what he doesn’t like/agree with. But I don’t remember him ever saying they shouldn’t be allowed to say something he disagrees with in the first place.

With their prune faces, arrogant demeanor of disapproval, desire to control others and absolute belief in their own moral purity it’s really the best analogy.
