Worse than that. Rich, relatively attractive, thin, straight white women under 30. With mostly the same haircut.
Less diversity than an ivy league sorority.

It’s diverse.
That one had a venti Carmel macchiato low fat milk
That one had a grande dark chocolate iced Mocha
That one had a venti iced vanilla chai
And that one had a tall peppermint latte with soy milk with a biscotti, because she didn’t have breakfast and she just “can’t right now she is totally bottoming out on her blood sugar but still wants to watch her weight so that bitch, Janet in accounting, doesn’t gossip about her gaining that 5 pounds before Kris in HR’s wedding next month.”

Please…. Huffington Post is the biggest ultra-liberal propaganda machine running. If you aren’t a single multiracial lesbian transsexual mother smoking a joint while walking her pitbull carrying a sign that supports abortion and blaming white men for everything wrong with the world you won’t have a say.

I really wanted to because a friend I used to have used to have one and it was awfully dear…. except to strangers. That being said, I’m completely about the caregiver determines the animals disposition theory discussed on page 82 of Smith and Roy’s Fundamental Foundations on Animal Behavior and Development. I made that last part up.

So the article says “apparently trying to show diversity,” but I’m not seeing anything that makes me think that. They tweeted the pic saying “Notice anything about it,” but it seems more likely that they were just saying “Look, it’s all women.”
Not advocating their politics, but it seems like the anger about this tweet is misplaced.

It is.
Source: Lived in the Midwest my entire life. Called myself a feminist and laughed at people’s assumptions. Went to stay with a friend in Boston for a few months. Second night there, a whole 3 minutes after meeting her, my friend’s roommate tells me that I’m racist for liking/reading Lovecraft. Started calling myself an egalitarian when I got home.

When will the racial bean counters stop obsessing over so-called “diversity”? How would you like to be the token black dude in this room: “Hey, Shawn, we need you in here for a minute.” Talk about insulting (and racist). Besides, just because the color of your skin is different, that doesn’t mean you are different, or special. True diversity comes from within, from who people are, not the color of their skin.

This reminds mw of something that I casually refer to as “The GLEE EFFECT” —
Many shows, movies, etc., have a cast that is so offensively diverse — take Glee, for instance: you have a crippled kid, an Asian girl, a Jewish girl, a black girl, a gay white guy, a black guy, etc., etc. Am I the only one that finds it so amazingly offensive?! Shows like this get praise for their diversity, when they do nothing more than “token” people for their identity status.
When I see ads and things where there is one Asian person, one black person, one white person, one disabled person, etc., I am incredibly offended. It means that the authors/producers, etc., singled people out based on their race, sex, ethnicity, etc. I can see a board meting where someone says, “Ooooooohhh……let’s definitely pick him….a gay, Asian, deaf, crippled, trans person…oooooooooh, goldmine!”

The Huffington Post always seemed like it was written by poorly educated young white women who think they can write about the plight of the poor even though their trust fund spits out more than they can spend every month. Shit writing, shit concepts from a room of 25 year old white women who believe that eliminating men from the workplace is the pinnacle of workplace diversity.

This article doesn’t really make sense.
The tweet actually seems to imply it was supposed to be more of a feminist/”women in the workplace” empowerment type thing than a workplace diversity thing.

“Women in the workplace” is a subset of the broader “diversity in the workplace” movement. Except if you only have one gender, then you are obviously at a diversity score of 0.

No surprise, modern feminism seeks supremacy for white women. If it was truly altruistic it would be about exporting an ideology that brings basic human rights to 3rd world women. Instead the modern feminist is more likely to take the easy route of claiming Islamophobia of those who want to repel that toxic culture.

When I grew up it was about diversity of ideas. Learning from other cultures and perspectives.
Somehow… it’s like I went to sleep and woke up and everything I learned has been twisted to mean “Diversity of skin color.” as if being a different color automatically means you think differently, or even stranger, somehow an “all black” board would be more diverse. How can it be diverse if you assume skin color is the only requirement AND there’s only one skin color in the room?
Since when did diversity mean “percentage of black people?” Probably around the same time they decided Asians were “white” even though we put them in camps in the 40’s.
It’s just… it’s pure insanity. Who thought this would be a good idea? Who was so surrounded by “yes (wo)men” that nobody called bullshit?

“diversity” is a word only liberals use to impose their will on other people, including minorities
notice the contrast between the democrat primaries and the republican – obviously the republicans are trying as hard they can to add minorities as candidates and dismiss notions of racism, and the democrats are just white guys, and hillary clinton – they arent trying to prove shit

Huffpo used to be a quality news site that welcomed controversial issues and reader discussion. Then they dumped all of that and forced readers into using Facebook logins. Pretty much killed it for quality. Now it is the place to go to stay current on penis replacement surgeries and inane journalism.

Almost nobody is really upset that HuffPo has an all-female editing staff. They’re upset that they advocate for diversity, but do not practice it.
Nearly all the time, people’s anger is a response to hypocrisy, rather than a belief that any specific belief is the absolute truth.

Innocent enough post by the lady, but when you work for a shit rag that pushes these issues to stir up controversy, expect to get it thrown right back at you.
As a logical, rational human, my first instinct is not to scream and demand “more male editors at HuffPo”. Maybe that group of editors work in branch/industry where men have no interest? You know, like what if they are editors of women’s bodies or some shit. Who really cares? I’m sure they’d hire a man if he was qualified and applied for a position. I’m sure they’d hire a black individual if they qualified for the position. Americans kind of sucks with this crap.
